Tokyo Weekender

Founded in 1970, Tokyo Weekender has been the cornerstone of expat life for over four decades.
Over the years Weekender has evolved from a newsprint tabloid in Japan’s bubble era to a full-colour monthly glossy magazine and a daily updated website that reaches tens of thousands of readers each month.
Today, the Weekender continues that long tradition, bringing all the latest events, news, views and interviews from the world’s biggest city: Tokyo.
Tokyo Weekender is available by subscription from Engawa or Fujisan (Japan’s largest magazine distribution company). The magazine is also delivered to selected retailers, embassies, international companies, universities and schools, hotels, restaurants, cafés and bars in the Kanto region.
