Arranging flowers is a relationship with nature and an act of creating harmony. I project a person’s appearance and trace onto the flowers. At the time I felt the sparkle in the flowers. Sparkle is sometimes dazzling, sometimes soft, and sometimes gentle. Love is born when you feel the sparkle in the relationship between people and nature. Then I arrange flowers in awareness of conflicting relationships, such as yin-yang, etc and create harmony. The true harmony, not just the shape and composition, is "loving harmony". So I want to appeal the necessity by taking pictures of ”loving harmony”.

Keiichiro Muramatsu was born in 1972 in Shizuoka, Japan. He attended a Focal Point professional photography course in Vancouver in 2001-2002. After going back to Japan, he established a portrait studio ”The Fourth Avenue Studio” in 2008 in Shizuoka, Japan. He has started to learn “Nageire” (literally, “thrown into”) which is a freer form of flower arrangement, placing innocent wild flowers simply in rough-hewn vessels, from 2013. He also established an atelier for producing his works in 2014.
