I am fascinated by architecture & it's structural geometry. I strive to capture the symbiotic relation between design, structure and light. Pondering the possibilities of what lies beyond or beneath, where it rises from or where it leads to. The play of light and air as it seeps through some structures or is held in check by others is incredible. Defining a new uniqueness by breaking the essence of a structure down to lighting the shapes and shaping the light. It is liberating to free buildings from their spatial context and known surroundings. Like being privy to the soul of the structure.

Archana Vikram is an Fine Art and Architectural photographer (b. 1971, Bombay, India). In her architectural photography, she is drawn to form and function of structures and endeavours to capture these as visualised by the architect and often beyond. Her art is interpretive of the theme and tries to present not what can be seen but what is felt/ conveyed. Although she works independently, Archana also enjoys collaborative projects and finds these a rich, learning & rewarding experience.
