The image was shot inside a glacier ice cave in very dark conditions without a tripod. It shows an area of the cave towards the upper side wall where the glacier has formed a structure inside the ice that looks like an extremely dynamic explosion. In reality the structure has formed over decades of the glacier moving the sediments inside the ice around.

I am an amateur photographer who is focussing on glaciers and volcanoes. I cover a wide range of images from landscapes, panoramic views to ice caves and abstract images.
