Lost Toys is a series of photographs that reflects on the ambiguity of human intervention in the oceans and the traces left by marine life upon objects. Beneath the sea, all objects are vulnerable to colonization . From the moment they are submerged, a succession of microscopic organisms settles onto any surface available for growth. In a remarkably short time, the sea claims whatever is offered to it. Be it the remains of a shipwreck, industrial equipment, or mere debris, marine life clings with persistence and tenacity to any foothold it encounters.
