The ceasefire that came into effect at the end of November 2024 ended 14 months of conflict between Israel and Lebanon. The offensive caused around 4,000 deaths in Lebanon, including many civilians, and the displacement of over 1.2 million residents. To date, Israeli attacks and occupations of Lebanese territory continue, especially in the south of the country. During the Israeli attack, numerous funerals were postponed to avoid turning these events into targets for the Israeli army. The funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, secretary general of the party, took place only on February 23, 2025.
