Underwater refraction of koi fish in a pond.
Many years ago I became fascinated with the reflective and refractive imagery produced on the surface of and under water and have been refining this style of photography ever since. I have also developed a unique layering technique of subject matter photographed from various angles and distances resulting in colorful, painterly, fragmented, abstract/impressionist compositions. I call this style Fusion photography. I am drawn to a world that often alters structure, form, and color, and blurs the lines between reality and abstraction in an organic, natural way.
