An incredible evening in the Vesterålen Islands, Norway. A few shy auroras in the evening made us hesitate to return to the rorbu or to persist despite the less-than-optimistic forecast. What a joy to have had our perseverance thus rewarded by this incredible series of explosions lasting ten long minutes. It was the first time I was finally able to capture the famous "phoenix." During this evening, we were accompanied by the breath and the presence of one or more orcas, very close, but remaining invisible.
