This socio-anthropological project analyzes the charcoal makers of Serra San Bruno (Italy), validating their artisanal craft as a model of a resilient local economy and intangible cultural heritage. Rooted in Mediterranean tradition and documented through photography, our research highlights the continuity of this sustainable practice. It captures a culture threatened by modernization, affirming the importance of local identity and challenging dominant industrial paradigms by showcasing a system where community and environment are interconnected.
