I was freezing and wet when a large group of Gentoo penguins returned home. It was a fast and furious sight to see. Who says penguins can't fly? Gentoo penguins hunt for fish, squid, and krill daily and come back to the colony on land each evening. The Gentoo penguin is listed as near-threatened, with human interference and habitat loss as significant factors.
