Western Australia’s Wheatbelt is home to some of the most surreal and stunning salt lakes on Earth. From above, these natural wonders transform into abstract masterpieces that look like they were painted by hand. Each lake tells its own story. Some show otherworldly colors, others ripple with cracked textures, and some shimmer with crystalline salt formations. A true hidden gem in WA, and a reminder that beauty often lies in the most unexpected places!

I am a passionate aerial photographer from Germany. As a dermatologist, a lot of my day-to-day work revolves around recognizing patterns of skin diseases and being able to classify them. My drone photographs pick up on this aspect by discovering patterns, structures and colors in nature.
