カスパー フォレスト (Kasper Forest) は香港でうまれて、地元の文化と都市住民のアイデンティティをベースに、将来に対する混乱や不安に応えます。香港人のアイデンティティを映像を通して探求するストリート写真に注力しており、2016年からはこの街で無視されてきた重要な詳細を記録するために10年間にわたる写真ドキュメンタリーシリーズ「Conflict Hong Kong」をスタートさせた。 2016 年以来、私はほぼ 10 年間にわたり、進行中のプロジェクト「CONFLICT_HONGKONG」を通じて、複雑でしばしば混乱する香港の特徴をカメラを使って探求してきました。この活気ある都市に生まれ育った写真家として、この作品は単なる写真撮影以上のものです。これは私が 10 年かけて取り組んできた個人的なプロジェクトであり、多くの人が知らない、アジアの有名な都市に住む人々の生活についての物語を描いています。 この重要な 9 年目が終わりを迎える中で、プロジェクトの主要な目的は変わりません。それはアイデンティティと疎外の慈悲深い探求であり、香港を形作り続ける社会的衝突の揺るぎない記録です。この作品は単なる画像以上のものを提供し、深遠で語られていない物語、複雑で対立した、そして最終的に人間的な心を私の故郷であるこの都市に明かす必須の対話を提示します。

Kasper Forest, a photobased artist born in Hong Kong, delves into themes of local culture and the self-identity of modern citizens through his art. His work is a profound exploration of society's attitudes towards marginalized communities. Initiated in 2016, his decade-long project, "Conflict Hong Kong," chronicles the experiences of the city's overlooked minorities. Another project, "The Ghost City," features paper-made dolls (Chinese Grave goods) traversing various Hong Kong landmarks. This project reflects the eerie silence of the pandemic era and the checkered past of Hong Kong residents.
