View from Montaña Redonda in the Dominican Republic inland over green fields, hills and towards mountains. What grabbed my attention was the contrast of the dark cloud casting shadow and revealing bright patches on the landscape where the sun still peeked through. This is minutes before a rain cell moved in from the seaside.
Born in 1979, I am an amateur photographer living in Switzerland in the surroundings of Zurich. In my spare time and when travelling I take joy in doing photography. Although I generally do not consider myself a very patient person, making pictures is often relaxing and calming and I can easily spend an hour or two in the same spot taking it all in, finding compositions, refining a composition and waiting for the light. I focus on landscape and cityscape photography. For quite some time now I feel myself more and more drawn to landscapes – where I am trying to find my masterpiece shot. ;-)
