I created this series of self-portraits at the Icelandic Fagradalsfjall eruption. I ended up hiking to the volcano 26 times and I stayed there from sunset to sunrise to take these photos. The series represents transformation and rebirth and it sits very close to my heart; it is about releasing the old and everything that no longer serves us so we can be free to live the life we want to live. I took all of these photos myself by using a remote or the camera's intervalometer. All the photos are real and BTS videos can be found on my Instagram.
