Shellfish are the second most abundant animal on Earth after insects, and the most diverse in the oceans. It was once said that there were 100,000 species, but now it is often said that there are 200,000 species, and they come in a wide variety of sizes, colors, shapes, and patterns. In this series, the photographs were taken to highlight the differences in the shapes and patterns of the various shells.
