Virtual Lands 2.0 blurs the boundaries between photography and videogames by blending the visual language and aesthetics of both media to question the separation of virtual and physical realities. The images depict travsersable landscapes with paths intended for exploration and walking. The images are influenced by photo-realistic video game graphics but attempt to complicate viewers’ ability to identify the location and image’s origins. The series consists of 106 unique photographs produced in various materials and methods, from archival pigment transparencies and prints to digital art.
