This is the building of the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar. It is built on an island off an artificial projecting peninsula near the traditional dhow harbor. Designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning Chinese American architect I.M. Pei, the museum opened in 2008 and is noted for its vast collection of Islamic art spanning 1300 years.
A photography artist with a Ph.D. in computer science specialized in computer graphics and geometric modeling. I worked for IBM Research and other high-tech companies in my early career, then moved to management consulting, as a chief architect in enterprise architecture. Photography is my new endeavor in recent years, which could be a natural extension from my hobby and talent in painting at younger age. My dancing experience may serve as another artistic spin.
