Folk beliefs, deeply rooted in the cult of nature and supernatural forces, were an integral part of our ancestors daily life of. Demons and deities played a key role in shaping the cultural identity. Daily rituals manifested a deep connection with the surrounding world. To secure the favour of the deities they offered gifts in sacrifice. Seed symbolised the cyclical nature of the seasons, life, death and rebirth. A greater cosmic order was seen in cyclicity. The seeds of the title, a symbol of rebirth, refer to both individual transformations and wider processes shaping the contemporary world.
