The rustic South Tyrolean Dolomites are a popular travel destination in the Alps. The Seiser Alm is the largest high mountain pasture in Europe and is a popular mountain sports region. I found the two beautiful old Hozhütten on an evening hike. The rustic huts blend beautifully into the landscape in front of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto mountains. At the same time, they are built sustainably, using wood that grows locally. The beautiful evening red of the clouds rounded off the picture for me and formed a nice contrast to the lush green meadows.

I am 54 years old and live in Seligenstadt, Hesse. For many years, I worked as a landscape gardener, where I was able to work creatively with nature. Due to tragic events, I can no longer pursue my profession, which gave me time to devote more intensively to photography. Initially, it was primarily while traveling and in nature that I discovered abstract and contemporary photography. With a camera, you can create beautiful, individual works of art; you just have to get involved. This doesn't happen at the push of a button, however; it happens intuitively, based on the situation.
