We grow a dual relationship with the cities we live in: cultural and visual identities often make us proud and grow in us to become an integral part of who we are, while the ongoing frustrations of living in pressuring and crowded environments sometimes consume us from inside. Hong Kong is no stranger to these contradictions. Pigeon cage architecture adds to it. Structured and contrasted black and white backdrops can feel overwhelming, while abstract bokeh lights are uplifting and remind us of lost dreams. Ultimately, both impressions combined are a reflection of the duality of urban life.

As a visual artist and photographer, my inspiration is intimately connected to my passion for travel. I am lucky to have lived internationally and discovered diverse cultures. This has shaped my photographic expression to an unexpected paradox: the exploration of contrasts between the gentle and abstract beauty lying in Nature, compared to rich and overloaded urban environments.
