Italy in 2020 recorded the historical minimum of births since the time of the Unification of Italy (150 years ago).In 2021 no improvement is expected. In addition to the national economic situation and record youth unemployment (over 33%, against a European average of 12.5%), fear for the pandemic has worsened things in the young people who want to become parents. Despite this, we continue to be born at the time of the Covid-19, the Cambridge Dictionary has coined a new term for who is born during this pandemic time "Coronnials".

Emiliano Pinnizzotto is a Photoreporter and Visual Journalist, based in Rome, Italy. Born in Rome on 25 June 1983 started to taking pictures since as a child. Through the years began to direct his passion toward photo-reportage especially in social, anthropology, and travel photography. He has a particular focus on the light when he takes photos, always use the natural light present in the place.
