Hilo is a reflection based on my experience as a daughter and mother. It revolves around the mother´s figure and the motherhood construction. An approach to their dilemmas. What´s a mother made of? How to understand her? Where to look for her when she´s no longer here? A mother lives latently underneath another who preceded her and before, centuries of women have marked a way of understanding motherhood conditioned by them. Hilo seeks to understand the hidden mechanisms triggered when we move our emotions like daughters to our daughters, in the effort to be mothers
Visual creator, photographer and economist. Since 2015 I have been working in the field of business, portraiture and I teach photography and visual language workshops for children, adolescents and adults. In my personal projects I am interested in the connection of photography with other visual arts and their feedback. I use photography as a form of representation and expression. The topics that I deal with are related to the human being and his construction as an individual, his emotions, fears and family conditions. I also inquire about women ties and inheritance, motherhood and memory.
