Faces of the Iron Triangle was photographed in an industrial graveyard of scrap heaps and auto repair shops in Queens, NY that is scheduled to be demolished and redeveloped. These photographs depict the struggle of a subculture rarely seen by few residents of NYC. They live a day to day existence by salvaging and recycling used car parts which are re-sold to an endless parade of drive thru customers. Many of these people live in abandoned cars and vans on streets that lack sidewalks and sewers. There is an endearing camaraderie that permeates a culture that is on the verge of disappearing.
