On Rue Roy, in Paris, France, four mounted police riders blocked the way of the demonstrators. Behind them, a car burns and a civil protection truck tries to make its way through. Shortly before that, police had repelled a crowd of demonstrators in yellow vests with tear gas. A major police operation prevented the demonstrators from reaching the planned meeting point on the Champs-Elysées. The dispersal of the demonstrators created scenes of chaos throughout the city.
