I don’t have a hometown to go back to. The only remnant of my hometown from my childhood is the memory of the street where I played marbles and tags. Only the faint memory and smell of the streets and houses remain. The modernization in Seoul has brought amnesia of my identity where I came from. Despite the stagnant of the development, the remaining corners of the cities are gobbled up block by block, and the houses and apartments are replaced by new ones every day. Now, my home from childhood is gone. As a matter of fact, I don’t have a hometown to go back to.
