This series of photographs was taken on the London underground and depicts escalators and stairs of various tube stations around the city. I was fascinated by the architecture of each of those stations and since all are deep under the streets of London and none of them receive any natural light, by the way they are illuminated with artificial lights. I used low key black and white processing to stress their industrial / futuristic architecture and to create a haunting mood in my photo.

I’m an avid, amateur fine art photographer currently based in London. I began my own journey with travel photography, aiming to capture the essence of each of the places I visited. Inspired by the contemporary environment of Singapore, I later focused my attention on cityscapes and architecture. More recently, I find myself attracted to nature and seascapes.
