Vittal Birdev Annual Yatra is observed in patan kadoli village of Maharashtra state in India. Birdev is the family deity of the Shepherd community. Thousands of people throng this village on this auspicious day. The Shepherd community offer turmeric powder (bhandara) and goat’s hair to their deity. The devotees shower bhandara on each other .They beat the drums, spin the huge umbrellas, sing folk songs, dance and do acrobatics. As soon as Baba(Holy man) arrives, devotees from all around shower bhandara on him and whole area is covered under the thick clouds of turmeric powder.

Tarun chhabra is a documentary, travel & fine art photographer based in New Delhi. Since last 28 years he is pursuing many self initiated projects which includes Street Children, Monsoon, Women in religion, Children in religion, Rural India, Sacred India and fairs & Festivals of India. His works are exhibited in 12 solo & 9 group exhibitions across the world. Some of his works are in permanent collection of San Diego Museum of Art, California and Essl Museum, Austria. Recently he was invited as a jury member for the photo contest organised by ministry of culture, Government of India.
