Awaiting Oblivion

I am fading away, slowly and painfully. With every sapling shredded off my body, every gush of obscure mist released into my lungs by humans, I fall apart one step at a time. And how shall I explain those plastic substances, which refuse to comply with me and sting into my guts as they continue to accumulate within me? They say flood or hurricane is the reason for their losses, whereas, their ignorant conscience refuses to acknowledge that these are my desperate wails to survive. As this massacre keeps getting worse, I only wish to give away every last bit of myself to pave a way for theirs.

I am Farida Alam. Professionally I come from a business background but Photography is my passion. Exploring people and their different cultures is the area of my interest. My inspiration for photography comes from the people and my surroundings. I love to meet people from different communities and experience other cultures. I have completed basic and foundation courses on Photography from “Pathshala South Asian Media Institute" and later on completed my Diploma from Alliance Française de Dhaka. I have participated in workshops conducted by Abir Abdullah, Saiful Huq Omi, and GMB Akash.
