Beneath the rain, a lone gentleman walks the narrow alley, his umbrella shutting out not only the downpour but the revelry around him. The day’s burdens are done, yet their echo clings to his back. Neon spills across the rain-slicked alley, voices drift from nearby bars, but his path stays apart from their warmth. In this solitude he is not undone—he is returning to himself. He accepts the day, even with its trials, and steps forward knowing tomorrow will demand more. Bearing both responsibility and loneliness, he walks on, quietly himself.
