While visiting the Louvre Abu Dhabi, my attention was directed by a loud utterance from a feminine voice. I turned around and saw a boy jumping dangerously toward the water and landing on a narrow ledge. I then realized the loud utterance was a mother scolding her son for doing something dangerous. The only way for the boy to return was to jump back, and my camera was ready!
Photography is more than an art form to Jean-Marc — it’s also a tool for understanding, structuring, and simplifying the world around him. In his street photography, Jean-Marc enjoys capturing candid moments that are interesting, funny, or have the viewer ask questions. He likes American contemporary photographer Alec Soth’s wording of the key ingredients: Light, Moment, and Magic. While street photography remains his central focus, Jean-Marc's work expands to other genres. However, the human element is a connecting thread in all his photography.
