Tokyo Grid was taken from a skyscraper on my first trip to Japan. As a Tunisian experiencing intense culture shock, being inside the zebra crossings felt chaotic, fast, and overstimulating, like crossing into another dimension. But from above, they revealed themselves as silent, geometric, and ordered, reflecting how Japanese society can feel both overwhelmingly busy and deeply structured, strict, and precise. This series means a lot to me: it holds some of the best photos I’ve ever taken and reflects how my first trip to Japan shifted my view on photography, space, and movement.
