a diptych showing the contradictions that are inherent in the process of living ie; pursuing one's dream, over a lifetime, and in the nature of addiction. I wanted the styles of each image to have enough in common to warrant their inclusion as a pair but to show up minor differences also, perhaps suggesting they have been made at different times
Born in 1972; graduated from Macquarie University in 1995 (B.A. Mass Communications). Moved to the country in 1996. Began caring for my parents, in Sydney, in 2001. Have lived with bipolar disorder since an early age, am now receiving a pension. A highlight, photographically speaking, has been the solo exhibition I recently held at the Wollongong Art Gallery: "The Charm of Things Hidden In Plain View". Also love poetry and composing music in various genres.
