Oshún is an orisha in Yoruba mythology who rules over love, rivers, health, diplomacy, and fertility. She is also venerated in Afro-American religions of African origin. Her name comes from the "Osun River," which flows through Yorubaland (present-day Nigeria). Yoruba mythology and spirituality portray Oshún as the one responsible for cosmological forces, harmony, attraction, and, above all, the forces of water; furthermore, she is omnipresent and omnipotent. My passion for photography began in my youth with analogue experimentation. What started as an attraction to unconventional images evolved into a personal vision: photography is not about recording reality, but revealing what we choose to see. The camera becomes a pretext to give form to images already present within us. Through a conceptual, minimalist and creative approach, my work seeks to suggest rather than explain, leaving space for emotion, silence and personal interpretation. Photography, for me, is an act of listening—making visible what already exists within.
