The Sound of Silence

No, she's not comfortably listening to her favorite songs. What look like headphones are just an old cloth headband she found in the dump. She doesn't even know that the shiny records she found in the smoking garbage contain melodies that would make her dream. Here, in her world, the only sound she can hear is the sound of silence, punctuated by the buzzing of flies.
