Had no idea what to expect at the beach and what compositions I would find that morning. I walked towards that pier as this seemed rather interesting and the sun rising more or less behind it. Apart from the usual palm trees, sand, sun chairs from the resorts on the beach (which I did not fancy) there was nothing else at the beach that got my interest so I decided to focus on the pier and keep walking towards it. I stopped on multiple occasions, set up the tripod, pushed it down and buried it in the wet sand to withstand crashing waves as best as possible, composed the shots and made them.
Born in 1979, I am an amateur photographer living in Switzerland in the surroundings of Zurich. In my spare time and when travelling I take joy in doing photography. Although I generally do not consider myself a very patient person, making pictures is often relaxing and calming and I can easily spend an hour or two in the same spot taking it all in, finding compositions, refining a composition and waiting for the light. I focus on landscape and cityscape photography. For quite some time now I feel myself more and more drawn to landscapes – where I am trying to find my masterpiece shot. ;-)
