Two damselflies rest delicately on a leaf, their slender forms mirroring one another in a moment of symmetry and stillness. The silvery texture of the leaf catches the sun like brushed metal, contrasting the insects’ electric blue markings. To me, this is a glimpse into the intimacy of nature. I wanted to freeze that intimacy and let the viewer feel as though they, too, have stumbled upon this hidden moment.
Hi, I’m Ayush. Photography, for me, has always been less about freezing time and more about framing the questions we often overlook. It’s about abstract expression, about emotion. I’ve learned that photographs should never come at the expense of truly living a moment—they should emerge from it. My journey with photography began during the COVID-19 outbreak, and it has never left me. Over time, it’s has become one of my deepest forms of communication. What draws me back again and again is the possibility that an image can hold both beauty and discomfort, both truth and imagination.
