I found the scene in a shadowy canyon in the foothills near where I live. Only a wisp of the bee's antenna is poking up from the flower, while the entire rest of its head is hidden. This gives witness to how far down the bee has dug. It even looks like the forward most leg is being used as some sort of leverage to get in even further. Take all that away though - the deep desire of the bee’s yellow back highlighted between the green background, and purple, pink Thistle. And, the individual rows of orange hair fanned out, and standing up as the bee forages, are rare enough to demand the shot.
