The poet Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe's quote 'Nature knows no pause in progress and development, and attaches her curse on all inaction' is the subject of my series entry. These macro images capture a moment in time that will inevitably disappear as nature’s own time clock advances, and if we are to truly acknowledge the continuing impact of global climate change and its effect on weather patterns perhaps by examining the minutiae details of nature we may be in a better position to understand and embrace the true meaning of Goethe's quote, allowing us to reclaim back nature's significance.
I am a photographic artist living and working in the seaside city of Brighton and Hove. I have a variety of photographic based interests and like to explore image interpretation by using a number of different techniques such as camera-less, analogue and digital media, respectively. This stems from challenging myself to create images that attempt to capture the depth, shape and visual impact of the proposed subject matter by presenting it on media that enables an organic type of investigation. It is very much an evolving process, encouraging me to closely examine the living and abstract world.
