On one extraordinary winter's night in Iceland - my 2nd time there - the aurora borealis swept across the Arctic sky, mirrored in the still waters below. I had trekked down some challenging terrain in the dark to reach this spot, knowing from a prior trip how fleeting the aurora can be. I set up at the base of the lake for this 10-second exposure. The landscape reflected not only the northern lights, but also the stillness and wonder of this spectacular Arctic night.
