I was waiting for the famous sunset on the Greek island of Santorini. I looked around and saw a lone pigeon perched on the power line. It was looking around as if searching for its companion. It was like, "Where are you, the sunset is coming soon." Below the power line, you can see the sea all the way to the horizon in the beautiful pastel colors of the evening light.
I am 54 years old and live in Seligenstadt, Hesse. For many years, I worked as a landscape gardener, where I was able to work creatively with nature. Due to tragic events, I can no longer pursue my profession, which gave me time to devote more intensively to photography. Initially, it was primarily while traveling and in nature that I discovered abstract and contemporary photography. With a camera, you can create beautiful, individual works of art; you just have to get involved. This doesn't happen at the push of a button, however; it happens intuitively, based on the situation.
