Dynamics overwrite monotony: from grayscale life, my invisible longing – a gasp of color. I am fascinated by transforming material realities into abstract photographs in order to visualize hidden aspects of the reality. I explore how to represent thoughts, feelings or ideas. My photographic process allows me to merge visible and invisible parts of my reality into one atmospheric image. A visual language emerges that allows me to enter into an individual engagement with the world, as in poetry, and to tell of the hidden aspects of my reality in lyrical abstraction.
I learned my photographic craft from the photographer and filmmaker Valentin Schwab. Over the last years I increasingly have abstracted my visual language. In my current work, I use abstract photographs to explore the representation of the subliminal, the ineffable, and the ephemeral.
