During the winter months trees dramatically display themselves in all their stark beauty, devoid of any foliage, leaving the twigs and branches exposed to the elements. From a vantage point at ground level, when looking almost directly upwards against a clear blue sky, the trees stand silhouetted, creating striking and intriguing shapes and patterns. In the processing stage of converting the scene to a monochrome image, it has been further enhanced by inverting it, transforming the picture into a photographic work of Fine Art.
