A body lies in the sand, rooted like a seed. It does not return to the earth - but chooses to remain. "Rooted" explores a quiet transformation: death not as a disappearance, but as a beginning. The figure merges with nature - her limbs become branches, her voice dissolves into the wind. This image tells the story of those who refuse to disappear, instead rooting themselves in the world as an act of silent resistance.
She began creating photographic artworks in 2010 and has since focused on exploring emotional landscapes and dreamlike visual narratives. Her work often deals with themes such as escape, emotional shelter, and quiet isolation. Honma's photographs have been used in book covers and exhibited in various shows in Japan. She continues to create series that blur the boundaries between reality and the imagined.
