Ukimido Shrine is located on the northern bank of Lake Tōya, a volcanic crater lake located in Shikotsu-Tōya National Park in Hokkaido, Japan. This scene creates a sense of timelessness, a whisper of the past, an other-worldliness that our modern, technologically assisted lives long for. For a brief moment, you too can hear that whisper...a breath between worlds.
