From the moment I first laid eyes on it, I was captivated by its unique and striking form. When I began thinking about how best to convey the beauty of this rock, my answer was long exposure photography. First, I used a CPL filter to cut through the atmospheric reflections and enhance the contrast. Then, with an ND32000 filter, I shot a 20-minute exposure to smooth out the rough, turbulent sea into a calm, glass-like surface. As I stood there, gazing at the emerging shape of the rock, it felt to me like witnessing a fateful encounter—two forces meeting unexpectedly.
