This is a single, powerful moment captured from Yabusame, a traditional Japanese equestrian ritual. The photograph was taken head-on from a distance, using a 400mm telephoto lens. This technical choice was made to compress the perspective, intentionally drawing the horse's immense energy toward the viewer and conveying the feeling of its unbridled power. The scene was both overwhelming—I could feel the ground shake from the pounding hooves and hear the fierce breath of the horse rushing towards me—and ultimately, a moment of profound beauty.
