At sunrise, the Bridge of Sighs glows softly, its reflection mingling with the crimson sky on the calm water below. This historic Venetian landmark, connecting the Doge’s Palace to the prison, symbolizes the final view of freedom for convicts, hence its profound name. The first rays of sunlight illuminate its intricate Baroque stonework, evoking a sense of melancholy and beauty. This bridge represents Venice's rich past and the emotional weight carried by its architecture, capturing the essence of history in the light of a new day.

Nicholas Dunn began photographing at age ten, inspired by his father and grandmother. From the Kansas plains to landscapes abroad, he developed a style rooted in abstraction, where nature reads like drawing or design. By eighteen, his work earned international recognition, including multiple honors at the International Photography Awards with a second place in Architecture/Historic. Through fire, water, ice, and land, Nicholas seeks to reveal the patterns and fleeting visions etched by the earth itself.
