I focus on various reds that break free from traditional contexts, as they leap out of the framework of politics, cultural heritage, folklore, and traditional norms. These reds shed the heavy burden of grand narratives, presenting a lighthearted interpretation of red in contemporary China and subverting the stereotype of "Red China". "Unchained Red" is the vibrant vitality beneath symbolic surfaces. It is not only an individual's instinctive pursuit of beauty, but also a microcosm of urban cultural innovation and a vivid portrayal of an ancient civilization embracing modernity with grace.
