This series explores the headscarf as both a symbol of identity and a subtle constraint. While representing faith and tradition, it also reflects societal pressures that limit women’s autonomy. Through street photography, I capture the paradox of a garment that can empower yet bind. These images reveal the tension between tradition and personal freedom, questioning how cultural norms shape gender identity. This work invites reflection on the balance between heritage and individual expression in a modern world.
