A picture of the magnificent and ancient Pir Shalyar ceremony in the village of Oraman Takht (Horaman) in the Kurdistan province of Iran. This two-day event is held every year in the second half of winter, in all weather conditions, with the presence of thousands of locals and tourists. The ceremony is deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual traditions of the people of the region, to whom men with long hair are considered sacred.
